More About Me
Cherie Murra is a native of Boston, Mass. Cherie attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she majored in education and minored in Art History. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and taught special education students in Landover, Maryland and later first grade in Boston. Cherie and her husband Steve settled in Acton where they raised their daughter. They recently welcomed a second grandson into the family. As a strong believer in the importance of education Cherie understands that families raising children place superior education at the top of their list of requirements when relocating.

The Murra’s bought their first home, a townhome in Nagog Woods, and it was there that Cherie began her Real Estate career. She studied for and easily passed the demanding Brokers exam, then accepted a job at the onsite sales office at the Nagog Woods townhome complex. She later joined Acton Real Estate knowing the small office atmosphere and the highly experienced agents would contribute to her success.

Cherie continued her Real Estate education by earning her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and ASP (Accredited Staging Professional). After 38 years of experience, Cherie’s greatest satisfaction is meeting new people, many of whom become longtime friends. With her love for design, she gets enthused listening to client’s plans for their new home and helping first time buyers achieve their dreams of home ownership. Her ability to value a property based on location and condition is an asset to her clients during negotiations.

Helping others is a natural extension of Cherie’s upbringing and an invaluable quality in her career. Those qualities extend to her personal life as well. She lends her services to many volunteer activities, both local and regional throughout the area.
